Counselling

Please be aware that counselling is not a substitute for professional medical care by a qualified doctor or other health care professional. Always check with your doctor if you have any concerns about your physical health, condition or treatment.

Talking therapies are not intended to replace conventional medical treatment and care. Nor are they intended to replace formal diagnosis and treatment by a qualified medical practitioner.

Talking therapies may give information or guidance that could bring about positive change and such information or guidance is given to the client to consider. Although the therapist will be supportive and as helpful as possible in all decision making and change processes, any resulting choices and changes made by the client do remain the personal and legal responsibility of the client.

Therapeutic Coaching

I offer therapeutically informed coaching—a coaching approach enriched by my professional training as a qualified counsellor. This allows us to work with both practical goals and the emotional patterns that may be holding you back, while remaining within a coaching framework.

My therapeutic coaching is informed by my professional training and experience as a qualified counsellor, allowing me to bring a deeper understanding of emotional wellbeing, self-awareness, and personal growth into the coaching process. While this therapeutic perspective enriches my coaching, the service I provide under this agreement is coaching, not counselling or psychotherapy.

Therapeutically informed coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused process designed to help you gain clarity, overcome obstacles, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change. Together, we explore your goals, values, patterns, and potential in a safe, supportive, and compassionate space.

Therapeutic coaching is not a substitute for counselling, psychotherapy, psychiatric care, or medical treatment. During therapeutic coaching, I do not diagnose or treat mental health conditions, provide clinical therapy, or offer crisis intervention. If, at any stage, I believe your needs would be better supported through counselling or another appropriate healthcare professional, I will discuss this with you and may recommend additional or alternative support.

While I am committed to providing a professional, ethical, and supportive therapeutic coaching experience, coaching outcomes cannot be guaranteed. Lasting change depends on many factors, including your commitment to the process, your willingness to reflect honestly, and the actions you choose to take between sessions.

By engaging in therapeutic coaching, you acknowledge that you remain responsible for your own decisions, actions, and wellbeing throughout our work together. My role is to support, encourage, challenge, and guide you as you work towards your own goals.
